FAQs
Cranes FAQs
Do you use chemicals?
Yes. We use a range of professional-grade cleaning solutions that are specifically selected to suit the requirements of each individual task. All chemicals are thoroughly rinsed away at the end of the cleaning process, ensuring the area is left fresh, clean, and safe.
Do you work outside of normal business hours?
Yes. We work around our clientsβ requirements. For commercial customers, this often includes cleaning during out-of-hours periods, such as evenings or weekends, particularly for areas like car parks and external premises.
Are you key holders?
Yes, we can act as key holders for our clients. Arrangements are made individually to ensure all keys are securely handled and returned, and that the site is fully secured once work is completed.
What are your payment terms?
For commercial clients, we offer account facilities subject to a full credit check. We also accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash and bank transfers.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold a fully comprehensive insurance policy for complete peace of mind.
Do your staff hold DBS certification?
Yes. All members of our team hold Enhanced DBS certification, as the nature of our work often requires access to secure or sensitive sites.
Are cleaned areas safe to walk on immediately after completion?
Yes. Once the cleaning process is complete, all chemicals are thoroughly rinsed away and the area is left clean, refreshed, and safe to walk on.
Are the chemicals you use harmful to pets?
During the cleaning process, a variety of specialist chemicals may be used. However, all treated areas are fully rinsed down upon completion, leaving no residue. Once the work is finished, the surface is safe for pets. We do require that pets remain indoors while cleaning is in progress.
Is it safe to step onto areas while cleaning is taking place?
No. For safety reasons, cleaned areas should not be accessed while work is in progress. We can only guarantee the surface is safe once the process is fully completed and thoroughly rinsed.
What type of sand do you use on block driveways?
We use specialist kiln-dried sand for re-pointing between block paving. Pressure washing may remove some of the original jointing sand, so once the driveway has fully dried (typically the following day), we reapply kiln-dried sand to restore structural stability and finish.
What is 3D mapping?
We use a specialist 3D mapping tool to accurately measure the area requiring cleaning. This technology generates a precise 3D layout in both imperial and metric measurements. It ensures complete transparency and guarantees that you are only charged for the exact area being cleaned β eliminating guesswork from quotations.
Are site visits and quotations free?
Yes. All site visits and quotations are provided free of charge.
How are quotations provided?
All quotations are issued via email or text message later the same day. This allows us time to carefully calculate and ensure the most accurate and competitive price possible.
Is a deposit required when booking?
No. We believe in transparency and trust from the outset, and therefore do not require deposits. Our booking process is straightforward and based on clear, honest communication
Are there circumstances where you would not carry out work?
We are generally happy to work in most conditions. However, in cases of severe or adverse weather, such as snow, bookings may need to be rescheduled for safety reasons.
Do I need to provide a water supply?
Yes. Our equipment requires a steady water supply to operate effectively.
What if I do not have an outside tap?
We require access to a fixed water source. This can be either an outdoor tap or a kitchen tap. We carry adaptors to fit a wide range of tap types to ensure a suitable connection on the day.
Do you carry out tarmac repairs?
Yes. Over time, tarmac edges can deteriorate. We use specialist cold tar fillers to repair edges and fill small holes to restore the surface.
How are tarmac driveways restored?
We apply a professional-grade tarmac sealant that restores the appearance of the surface, giving it a fresh, like-new finish.
What happens to debris removed before cleaning?
Before applying any treatments, we sweep and collect all debris from the area. Waste is bagged securely and left on-site for disposal in your household bins. As we do not hold a waste carrierβs licence, we are unable to remove waste from the premises. Rest assured, all waste is neatly bagged and placed in the bins as directed.
General Cleaning FAQs
What surfaces can you safely pressure wash?
We clean driveways, patios, block paving, tarmac, garden paths, walls, render, brickwork, commercial surfaces (car parks, playgrounds), and more. We adjust pressure and methods to protect delicate materials.
Will pressure washing damage my surfaces?
When done correctly by professionals, itβs safe. We select the correct pressure, nozzle, and method for each surface to avoid etching, stripping paint or damaging mortar joints.
How often should I have my surfaces pressure washed?
It depends on location, exposure and surface type. For many driveways and patios, once every 12β24 months is sufficient. For high-traffic areas or those shaded and prone to moss/algae, more frequent cleaning might help.
Do you use hot and cold pressure washing?
Yes. Every project is inspected beforehand so we can assess and determine whether hot or cold pressure cleaning is most appropriate for the surface being treated.
Do I need to prepare anything before your team arrives?
Yes β clear furniture, pots, plants, loose items, and ensure we have access to an outdoor water supply. If there are sensitive surfaces (e.g. windows, plants), let us know so we can protect them.
Can you remove oil stains, grease, or graffiti?
Yes β we specialise in oil & grease removal from driveways, patios and commercial surfaces, and graffiti removal from walls, brick, render and other surfaces using safe, effective treatments.
Do you offer sealing or protective treatment after cleaning?
Yes β we provide sealing, painting and restoration services (for driveways, patios, tarmac, block paving) to protect surfaces and extend their lifespan.
